Walled Garden

Fresh seasonal vegetables, hand-picked from our delightful walled garden, will be part of your delicious dining experience at Oxon Hoath! Over the last ten years we have restored the resplendent two acre Georgian walled garden back to its historic purpose of providing abundant fresh fruit, flowers, herbs and vegetables for the house and its guests.

We use entirely organic farming methods under the guidance of The Soil Association to produce our own crops. The garden is brimming with mouth-watering artichokes, asparagus, courgettes, cucumbers, peppers, chard, lettuce, green beans, mangetout, potatoes, beetroots, tomatoes, white strawberries, gooseberries, rhubarb and edible flowers. Our plump, healthy and tasty vegetables are enjoyed by our guests each day.

During your stay you are very welcome to tour the garden and delight your senses with its sights and fragrances and its unique micro-climate. Rik, our Kitchen Gardener, or Tina, our Project Manager will be delighted to show you around. You are welcome to purchase any surplus produce we may have, and take it home with you.

The walled garden also produces a gorgeous range of flowers for decorating the house, special events and weddings.

We pride ourselves on the high standards of our cuisine, the originality of our dishes and our flexible approach to designing menus to your groups’ tastes, now even further enhanced by our organic vegetables and fruit.

We invite you to share in and experience the sensual delights of Oxon Hoath’s walled garden – a unique environment and one of the largest and last remaining historic walled gardens in the South East.
